CLASSES

Beginning Stained Glass- 3 classes - $40 each

     Students will learn the copper foil technique of stained glass. Participants will create 3 projects during the classes- a dragonfly, iris flower and a mirror. Each class is about 3 hours long. Students will learn, cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, and zinc framing. Price includes everything you need for class.

Beginning Fused Glass - 2 classes - $40 each

     A slumped votive holder and a poppy flower frit panel are the 2 pieces that will be made during these 2 classes.

     Students will learn about different firing schedules, glass prep, frit making, and kiln prep. Classes are about 2 hours long.

Dichroic Jewelry- 2 classes - $40 each

     You will have the option of making two pendants or one pendant and 2 sets of earrings.

     Students will learn about the properties of dichroic glass, layering, firing schedules, and cold working. Bails will be added or a hole will be drilled to the final pendant. Classes are about 2 hours long.

Lead Came Class- 2 classes - $40 each

     Learn the traditional method of stained glass using lead came during this 2 class series. Participants will learn pattern prep, lead streatching, cutting, joint soldering, cementing, cleaning, and framing. Classes are about 3 hours long.

Decorative Soldering- 1 class - $40

     During this one time class, students will refresh their soldering skills and learn some basic decorative soldering techniques. We will discuss soldering irons, correct temperature, beading outside edges, and dot making. Participants may want to bring their own iron as this is what they will be using at home. 2-3 hour class.

Classes are usually 1 on 1 unless there are two or three of you to take the class together.

Wire Wrapping- 1 class - $40

     Students will learn the basics of making a bail for a pendant. We will talk about different wire and which one is best for wrapping. Hardening the wire and use of different jewelry tools will be discussed. This is a great workshop to match up with the Dichroic Jewelry class - Make your pendants and come back to wire wrap them.
